Port Townsend and popular neighborhoods
North Beach ~ Very much the beach feel to this neighborhood with sunset views and beach access. The trails to and through Fort Worden lead from the North Beach parking area. This is 3-5 minutes to the Uptown and Downtown areas.

Bell Street ~ Located toward the north side of the peninsula about 5-6 minutes by car to the markets, Uptown & Downtown, the neighborhood is treed with mostly cedar sided homes, typical of what you'd imagine of a NW home......and trails galore.

Uptown ~ Built on the higher ground of PT for the Victorian ladies wanting to avoid the riff-raff at the seaport of downtown, the Uptown is a mixture of Victorians, bungalows, and the "newer" 1960's to present aged homes. Uptown Lawrence Street has a small commercial section of the Carnegie Library, restaurants, community center and small businesses. The Saturday Farmers Market also takes place on Lawrence Street. The County Courthouse, Post Office, PT High School, churches & Chetzemoka Park is also located in the Uptown.

Morgan Hill ~ Located in the UP of Uptown, Morgan Hill seems to have a higher value due to a better likelihood of views. What is it about "high ground"?

Fort Worden ~ At the end of the NE section of our peninsula, Fort Worden is our state park that hosts many activities, camping, festivals, symposiums, Peninsula Jr. College, and access to beaches and trails. The area of homes surrounding/abutting the Fort is referred to as the Fort Worden area in our MLS. This area is slightly treed and sitting behind Morgan Hill.
